Marathi RajBhasha Diwas is celebrated in honour of the Marathi language. It is celebrated every year on 27th February to rejoice the birth anniversary of Dyanpeeth award winner late poet V.V. Shirwadkar who is also known as Kusumagraj.Marathi being the official language of the State of Maharashtra, the main focus of this celebration was to promote the Maharashtrian culture amongst the students of TSSM’s Cygnet Public School(N) Narhe. The assembly commenced with Marathi Teachers ‘Significance of Marathi Diwas’. We, at Cygneterians believe that exposing students to multiple languages enhances their access to people and resources, for better communication and fruitful travel experiences. Imparting the learning of different languages, both native and foreign; facilitates students to gain a better understanding of varied cultures and unfamiliar customs. The assembly thus enabled the students and teachers to actively participate in the Marathi language day celebrations where they got an opportunity to display an appreciation of the multi-cultural world.
