Celebrating festivals is an integral part of learning at Cygnet Public School (New) Narhe, Pune. Being a diverse country, through such celebrations, students not only learn the significance behind the festival, but they also learn to embrace other traditions and cultures just like they do with their own. Celebrations bring the school community together building a close bond between the children.
Keeping up to this tradition, the festival of Dussehra was celebrated by our students on 3rd Oct 2022. Dussehra is a major Indian festival celebrated for 10 days; it also marks the end of Navratri. It signifies the victory of Lord Rama over the demon Ravan & thus celebrates the triumph of virtue over the vice.
The day started with special assembly. Kumkumarcha pooja held by Principal ma’am Ajita Parbat. A melodious Chanting of Shrisukta by teachers and all students.
The enthusiastic stars of Cygnet celebrated Dussehra with a lot of fervor. The students till 5th standard were attired in traditional costumes.
